EdWard leverages the underlying Decisively engine to interpret complex employment rules. These rules are directly imported from the source material—whether it's an award, enterprise agreement, or employment contract—into the system in their natural language form. This ensures that the interpretation remains faithful to the original documentation, preserving its intent and accuracy.

By using natural language, EdWard offers a more intuitive way to manage and adjust employment rules. The system can understand, interpret, and apply these rules as they are written, without requiring any translation into complex code or specific configuration within the EdWard platform itself.

Decisively Rule Graph​

Decisively, the engine that powers EdWard, dynamically builds a rule graph that maps the rules against real-world employment scenarios. This rule graph enables the system to make decisions based on the conditions specified in the source material. The graph is highly dynamic, automatically adjusting as new rules are introduced or existing rules change.

The power of Decisively lies in its ability to handle the inherent complexity of employment situations. The system manages the relationships between rules, conditions, exceptions, and special cases, ensuring that the correct decision is always made, regardless of the complexity of the scenario.

No Configuration in EdWard​

One of the key advantages of this approach is that there is no configuration required within EdWard itself.
