Delegation
Intro
Delegation refers to allowing another user to act on behalf of another user, either to create timesheets or to manage the approval process of their timesheets or requests.
How it's implemented
EdWard tracks who is delegated to perform an action on a timesheet or an employee within it's data stores. It uses this information at run time to allow or disallow actions by various users (or to show data to a user so they can perform some action).
This delegation information is synched from an external system into EdWard. EdWard does not manage the delegation approval process out of the box (though can be configured using the underlying Decisively rules engine to create an appropriate guided interview that manages this proces if required).
To synchronise this information system integrators will need to call the Contacts API
